Fruit Wine Beginner Starter Kit with equipment and additives to make 4.5 litres of fruit wine by Almost Off Grid.

Enter the world of winemaking with this starter kit. Turn your homegrown, picked or shop-bought fruit into a fruit wine using the equipment and essential winemaking agents included in this kit. Alternatively you could use fresh fruit juices or dried fruits and/or flowers.

This Fruit Wine Making Starter Kit contains:

• 2x 5 litre Fermentation Buckets with bored lids and grommets pre-fitted- one being your primary fermenter, the other your secondary fermenter
• 1x 100g tub of VWP cleaner/steriliser for sterilising all the equipment multiple times each time you make a different wine 
• 2x airlocks, one for each fermenter
• 2x stick-on thermometer strips to monitor the temperature of your wine
• A nylon, washable and reusable straining bag
• A syphon complete with sediment trap and tap for easy bottling
• An SG Wines Fruit Wine Kit containing sachets of wine yeast & nutrient, pectolase enzyme, citric acid, wine tannin, campden powder blend, wine stabiliser and wine finings (2-part clearing agent). All the sachets contain enough ingredients to treat one 4.5 litre batch of wine
• Full instructions and recipes.

5 litre buckets are ideal if you prefer to ferment your homebrew in brewing buckets rather than demijohns. The bored lid avoids the need for a bung as the airlock fits directly into the vessel.

The buckets are big enough for all 4.5 litre (6 bottle) wine ingredients kits as well as for making wine from scratch. 

Also included is a 100g resealable VWP cleaner/steriliser, our best selling homebrew sanitiser, and our basic guide to making wine at home.

You will also need fruit and sugar as per your chosen recipe, a mixing spoon, wine bottles, corks and labels. Please note this kit does not contain a hydrometer for measuring the alcohol content of your wine. These can either be purchased separately or look out for the deluxe version of this kit which contains a triple scale hydrometer.
