Almost Off Grid 10 litre Fermentation Bucket with bored lid, grommet and airlock. Food grade primary fermentation vessel made from food grade polypropylene for making beer, wine, mead & cider. The brewing bucket has a tight-fitting lid with a pre-bored hole, fitted with a grommet. The airlock supplied with the bucket and lid fits in the grommet, creating an airtight seal and allowing air to escape one way. The airlock has a red dust cap designed to sit on top of the airlock to keep dust and fruit flies out. These buckets are ideal if you prefer to ferment your homebrew in a bucket rather than a demijohn, and avoid the need for a bung as the airlock fits directly into the fitted grommet in the pre-bored bucket lid. It is easily big enough for brewing 8 litre speciality beer kits. The total capacity of the bucket to the rim is actually 12.5 litres, so there is plenty of room if you are fermenting with fruit or a beer head develops in the bucket. Dimensions (approx): Height with lid fitted and excluding airlock: 257mm Lid diameter: 291mm.
