Good but go bigger

I got this kit to make mead with, done two batches with it now. What's there is good but I've got to say: it's worth it spending an extra £10 for the kit with more in it. I ignorantly thought I wouldn't need it all at first, but ended up having to buy all of that stuff anyway! Also invest in a second container :)

Wait and see

My parcel arrived in a timely manner. The instructions were simple, except for using the airlock. I forgot to add water whilst it was in its lively period, so it didn't get lively.... we'll wait and see ...

Neat little kit

Very happy, seals up nicely, could do with a syphon as part of the kit or something to get the mead out but very nice kit anyways

A nice first starter kit

I bought this kit after finding the JOAM recipe. A popular first recipe which Almost Off Grid writes about as an introduction to mead and has a link to this kit. Everything is very well made and ample for making this recipe from start till bottling. The only other things you'll need to buy, apart from the ingredients, is a siphon and bottles. The size is just right as you don't wish to make a huge batch for your first try. This will make about 6 bottles. I've deducted 1 star for an unusual reason. The bucket is very sturdy and well made but getting the lid off is quite difficult. It's almost too well made. It takes quite a bit of energy and will result in some movement of the bucket which is not good for stirring up the lees at the bottom after fermentation. Ideally you need to do this as gently as possible so your mead remains clear. But all-in-all i'm very happy. Cheers!

Meed sneed

Cool to brew a little bit of the bubbly for quite cheap
