5 Litre Alcoholic Ginger Beer Starter Kit with Bucket - or non-alcoholic

This Almost Off Grid Ginger Beer Starter Kit contains the basic equipment you need to get going making your first batch of homemade ginger beer - alcoholic or non-alcoholic - from scratch. It includes a pack containing 3 sachets of ginger beer yeast, each of which is enough to treat 4.5 litres of ginger beer, and instructions for making alcoholic ginger beer as well as traditional non-alcoholic ginger beer. You can use either dried or fresh ginger root, and the instructions are included for both.

The kit is also suitable for making 6 bottle box wine kits, as the food grade bucket is sufficient for 1 gallon/4.5 litres which is the equivalent of 6 standard wine bottles. The equipment is all re-usable.

Ginger Beer Beginner Starter Kit Contents

• 1 gallon (5 litre) Food Grade Bucket

• 1 tight fitting bucket lid with a bored hole, and fitted with a pvc grommet to keep an airlock in place

• 1 stick on thermometer

• A 100g tub of VWP cleaner/steriliser which can be used to sterilise all the equipment each time you make wine.

• 1 bubbler airlock with red cap which sits on the top to keep out dust and fruit flies. 

• 1 pack containing 3 sachets of ginger beer yeast and nutrient, sufficient to treat 4.5 litres each and 13.5 litres in total and instructions.
  
  

Please note that, other than ginger beer yeast, this basic starter kit does not contain ginger beer ingredients or bottles. As well as the yeast, you will need fresh or dried ginger, brown sugar, lemon juice, water, and white sugar to add to the bottles at the end to make sparkling ginger beer.
