A brimming bowl of hot wine mulled with traditional spices has for centuries been the favoured response to cold weather in the great country houses of England.
Now Country House products have put spices in a bag, to make it easy for you to prepare a country house mull of your own. Perfect for the festive season, or after a cold walk!
The bags are tea-bag style and there are 10 per pack.
Spice Mix for Mulled Red Wine Ingredients
Cinnamon, Cloves, Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Aniseed and Fennel.
Pour a bottle of red wine into a saucepan.
Add one or two sachets of mulled wine mix, depending on how strong you like your mulled wine to be.
Heat the wine but do not allow it to boil.
When steaming hot but not boiling, stir in sugar to taste.
Remove the mulled red wine sachet(s) and serve hot.
